International visiting programmes

Our international visiting programmes

Maudsley Learning is proud to run a range of comprehensive clinical visiting  and observer programmes. We are part of South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) which is based in London, England, and can trace its history back 800 years. We run the largest psychiatry training programme in Europe and offer the widest range of mental health services in the country. As such we are an ideal place to see and learn about mental health services, research and training.

We run three large psychiatric hospitals (Bethlem Royal Hospital, Lambeth Hospital and the Maudsley Hospital) and other services across 74 community sites with 300 clinical teams. Each year SLaM provides about 5,000 people with hospital treatment and about 45,000 people with community services.

Our mission is to ensure that everything we do is to improve the lives of the people and communities we serve and to promote mental health and wellbeing for all – locally, nationally and internationally.
