Assessment and Mental State (Together UK)
The course will involve a number of simulated scenarios followed by reflective learning discussions facilitated by experienced mental health and education trainers. It will also include interactive microteaching and group work
- To refresh and develop further confidence and skills in:
o taking a psychiatric history and performing a mental state examination
o conducting a risk assessment
o generating a holistic patient formulation for common mental disorders - To begin to explore the dynamics within a consultation and the factors that might impact on them.
- To enhance non-technical skills e.g., team working and communication with colleagues.
