Foundation skills in mental health
Foundation skills in mental health is a one-day course for anyone who may encounter people in distress or suffering from a mental health condition. Whether you encounter them at work, education, or in public, you don’t have to be a clinical professional to be able to provide immediate and appropriate care. Just like emergency first aid, there are simple techniques that will help anyone feel confident to provide assistance and reassurance to people in acute distress, and to seek further help when needed.
Using highly interactive and practice-focused teaching, learners from all backgrounds will leave with a general understanding of mental health and illness and the practical skills needed to respond to people in difficulty.12/11/2019
