Specialist Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist

Clare Grey is a BABCP accredited specialist Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, currently employed by South London and the Maudsley NHS foundation trust and sees patients for private treatment outside of her NHS work.
Clare graduates with a BSc(hons) in Psychology with a minor in Health Sciences in 1998 before working as a researcher at the University of Plymouth. During this time Clare undertook an MSc in Psychological Research Methods and worked on many research projects, which have been published by peer reviewed journals.
Clare moved into Clinical work in 2003, where she worked on a Neuro-rehabilitation ward for patients with acquired brain injury. In 2005 Clare moved to a national pain management Service at St Thomas’ Hospital London, during which time she worked with patients with chronic pain alongside secondary mental health difficulties and personality disorders. Clare qualified as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist during this time undertaking two postgraduate degrees in CBT, before moving into a community IAPT service.
In 2012 Clare began working at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Neuropsychiatry service, Queen Square, London. Here she specialised in delivering CBT for patients with functional neurological disorders (FND) and neurological conditions, before joining the Neuropsychiatry service at the Maudsley Hospital in January 2016, working with complex patients presenting with FND.
