Dr Kate Merritt

Dr Merritt is a post-doctoral researcher at UCL, working with Professor Tony David to characterise neurodevelopmental trajectories of psychotic experiences, and how social risk factors impact brain development to cause psychotic experiences. Her work with Dr Alice Egerton and Professor Philip McGuire at the IOPPN examined 1H-MRS measures of glutamate in the brain, their relationship with treatment response in schizophrenia and novel drug treatments targeting glutamate.
