Dr Sophie Bulter

Dr Sophie Butler is a ST5 higher trainee in general adult psychiatry at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and Kings College London (KCL) Year 4 Mental Health Block Lead. She is in the dissertation stage of her MA in Clinical Education from KCL and 2018-2019 was an Education Fellow with the Undergraduate Psychiatry Department at KCL. She has experience of large-scale, institutional education design and implementation through her work on the innovative third year longitudinal psychiatry placement and a new fourth year mental health block. Sophie also has a passion for independent, creative educational programmes, co-leading PsychED Up (2018-2019), is a founding member of the Association of University Teachers of Psychiatry (AUTP) Trainees Committee where she spearheaded a national fellowship scheme and is in her third year of running the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) Summer School.
