Pospo (Dr. Sotiris Posporelis)

Dr. Pospo (Sotiris Posporelis) is a distinguished Consultant Liaison Neuropsychiatrist within the NHS and holds the position of Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (King's College London). Currently employed by the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, Dr. Pospo's primary practice is based at King's College Hospital, where he offers comprehensive care to inpatients with diverse neurological and neurosurgical conditions, alongside comorbid neuropsychiatric symptoms. His expertise covers a broad spectrum, including but not limited to Brain Injury, Epilepsy, Encephalitis, Movement Disorders, and Functional Neurological Disorders.

As part of the Maudsley Neuropsychiatry Outpatient Service, Dr. Pospo leads a National Specialist Clinic, generously supported by NHS-England, demonstrating his commitment to advancing specialised care in the field.

Passionate about education and dedicated to advancing the field of neuropsychiatry, Pospo is a multifaceted professional contributing significantly to various educational initiatives. Currently serving as the Maudsley Teaching Programme organiser, Pospo plays a pivotal role in shaping educational experiences within the renowned institution. In addition, Pospo serves as a Module Lead for the MSc in Clinical Neuropsychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN). His commitment extends to the GKT School of Medicine, where he holds the position of Firm Head, overseeing and guiding medical students on their academic journey. Beyond these roles, Pospo holds the esteemed position of London Division Academic Secretary for the Royal College of Psychiatrists, where he contributes to shaping the academic landscape in the field. As a recognized authority, he lends his expertise to prominent medical publications, serving as a contributor to the BMJ Best Practice and the most recent edition of the Maudsley Prescribing Guidelines in Psychiatry.
