Dr Amy Hardy is a Reader in Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), King’s College London, and a Consultant Clinical Psychologist & Trauma-Informed Care Lead at the Psychological Interventions Clinic for Outpatients with Psychosis (PICUP), South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

With over 20 years of experience, Amy has specialised in the development, evaluation, and implementation of psychological therapies for psychosis, with a core focus on promoting equitable access, experience, and outcomes in mental healthcare.

She is the co-founder of SloMo, the first digitally supported therapy for paranoia to be recommended by NICE via its Early Value Assessment programme. Amy now leads a Wellcome-funded study evaluating SloMo’s implementation and effectiveness across three NHS trusts. SloMo has attracted national and international media attention, including features by the BBC, WIRED, Sky, and Dazeen.

Amy’s collaborative approach and commitment to co-production were recognised with the British Association of Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapies (BABCP) Engagement and Involvement Award, celebrating her work with experts by experience.
