Virtual reality

Consultancy services on instructional design

Maudsley Simulation are currently developing ultra high-definition, immersive, 360-degree videos to provide learners with a convenient way to access our informative content anywhere, any time. After five years of delivering high quality mental health simulation training to a wide range of professionals from across health and social care, we are creating technologically innovative programs that will bring simulation to learners with a need for more accessible educational opportunities.

Collaborating with VIRTI, an online educational platform, these courses can be accessed through any computer, tablet or smartphone, allowing the learner to be virtually immersed in a scenario without having to be physically present. With the use of a virtual reality (VR) headset anyone can experience being in the middle of the action as it unfolds. We aim to eventually offer a diverse range of programs in VR, beginning with a pilot course on aggression management and de-escalation.
