Older Adults' Fall Simulation Course - SLAM - (AM Session)
By the end of this course, participants will gain:

Increased knowledge and skills for identifying the physical signs and symptoms of possible fractures and head injuries sustained by patients during a fall incident.

Enhanced confidence in performing initial assessment, management, ongoing review, and escalation processes for patients suspected of sustaining a fracture or head injury following a fall.

Greater awareness of the importance of non-technical skills—such as situational awareness, decision-making, communication, interprofessional collaboration, leadership, and triage prioritisation—and the ability to confidently apply these skills to clinical procedures in managing fall incidents.

Improved skills and confidence in completing documentation and reporting systems after a fall incident, with increased awareness of the tools available on the intranet to support this process.
