About the course

This one-day online course aims to support psychiatry trainees (core or higher) to return to clinical practice after an absence. All Psychiatry trainees that are returning to clinical practice in London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex are welcome.

Course programme

The morning session will focus on clinical updates, mental health legislation and pharmacology updates, with reference to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The afternoon session will give you an opportunity to join our new innovative virtual simulation training.

Simulated patient scenarios and reflective learning discussions are facilitated by our trainers, who are current psychiatry higher trainees in SLAM. The scenarios will address assessment, management and collaborative working with service users throughout a patient journey in various settings.
