Danielle is the Clinical Specialist Service Lead at South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust & has her own private practice. She is a highly experienced clinical lead & clinician within the eating disorders field and NHS. Some of the key skills of her role include working with complex patients, staff development, care pathways, quality improvement & ensuring effective translation of research to practice. She is co-author of book chapters and many research papers and led the team to win various prestigious awards including the British Medical Journal Award.
Danielle is one of the developers of FREED (First episode Rapid Early intervention for Eating Disorders) and Project Lead. She is proud to see how FREED has helped patients & their families access the care they need and is looking forward to ensuring FREED is spread nationally and internationally so it is available to all. She is also involved in the PEACE project, establishing a care pathway and treatments for people with autism and anorexia. She plans to start her Doctorate in Psychotherapy Studies in September
