Dr Christopher Kowalski

Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Simulation Lead, Oxford Health NHS FT

Dr Christopher Kowalski is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist working at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust where he is also the Simulation Lead. Prior to this, he worked as the Simulation Lead at East London NHS Foundation Trust.

Chris began his work in simulation as a Fellow at Maudsley Simulation. After this, he undertook a further Fellowship at the University of Toronto in 2017, where he worked to set up the simulation programme at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). During this time, he received the University of Toronto Department of Psychiatry Award for Most Accomplished Clinical Fellow.

Since 2021, Chris has worked within an NHS specialist neurodevelopmental service assessing and treating children and young people with autism spectrum disorder and ADHD. He was shortlisted for Psychiatric Educator of the Year at the Royal College of Psychiatrists Awards 2023.
