Dr Lorraine Gordon
Consultant Counselling Psychologist | Head of Psychology and Psychotherapy

Dr Lorraine Gordon has worked in the UK National Health Service for over 25 years and is a Consultant Counselling Psychologist as well as Head of Psychology and Psychotherapy for Southwark adult mental health at the Maudsley Hospital. She is a member of the UK Association of Black Psychologists and the Black, African, and Asian Therapist Network.
Lorraine is a British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy accredited cognitive behavioural therapist and an advanced accredited schema therapist, supervisor, and trainer with the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST). She delivered a keynote lecture on racialised trauma at an ISST conference and was both an individual and group therapist in a multi-site international randomised control trial of group schema therapy.
She has previously served on the Outreach and Diversity Committee of the ISST. Lorraine also completed specialist training in Black Psychology and African Centred Therapy and is a qualified Emotional Emancipation Circle facilitator. In addition to her clinical and therapeutic expertise, she was awarded an MA in Business and Management with distinction.
