Dr Lucy Serpell
Professor of the Psychology of Eating Disorders at UCL
Dr Lucy Serpell is a Senior Clinical Psychologist, with over 25 years experience working with people with eating disorders, both in clinical and research settings. She is is a Professor of the Psychology of Eating Disorders at University College London and clinical Lead for Adult Eating Disorders at North East London NHS Foundation Trust. She is a member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies and a Fellow of the Academy of Eating Disorders.
She is passionate about using evidence based therapies (therapies research has proven to work), to help people with eating disorders to recover and reclaim their lives and has expertise in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Maudsley Anorexia Nervosa Treatment for Adults (MANTRA), Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM) and Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET).
