Dr. Nuala Burgess

Dr Nuala Burgess is based in the Education Communication and Society department at King’s College London, Faculty of Social Sciences and Public Policy (SSPP). Nuala also chairs Comprehensive Future (CF), a national education campaign group focused on improving school admissions policies and phasing out selective education. Her academic research includes examining post-16 and post-18 transitions and young people’s decision-making within these areas. As Chair of CF, Nuala is frequently called upon by the media to explain complexities related to school admissions and transitions. She brings to the project educational expertise, successful educational campaigning, media relations experience, and ten years as a schoolteacher.
