Dr Nuria Gené-Cos
Lead Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr Nuria Gené-Cos is the Lead Consultant Psychiatrist for the Trauma and Dissociation Service, with over 20 years of specialist experience in assessing and treating psychological trauma-related conditions, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, complex trauma, and Dissociative Disorders. She is an EMDR Trauma Therapist (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a Sensorimotor Psychotherapist, and a Lifespan Integration Therapy (LI) Consultant. Outside of her clinical work, Dr Gené-Cos is involved in training, supervision, teaching, and consultation both within the NHS and further afield (e.g. Médecins Sans Frontières). She has presented at national and international conferences and workshops on various topics, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, trauma, borderline personality disorder, and brain electrophysiology in relation to anxiety disorders.
