Matt is a junior psychiatrist and academic from Warrington. He graduated with medical and postgraduate research degrees from the University of Manchester before moving to work at South London and Maudsley (SLaM). He is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and is currently based at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN) researching neuropsychiatric disorders and psychopharmacology. He runs the book group Reading the Mind at SLaM and IoPPN.
