Professor Sharon Marie Weldon

Professor Sharon Marie Weldon is Professor of Healthcare Simulation and Workforce Development at the University of Greenwich and President of the Association for Simulated Practice in Healthcare (ASPiH). She developed the Transformative Simulation (TfS) framework, which positions simulation as a structured approach for system understanding, collaboration, and change across health and care.

Her work spans global health systems, simulation design, and workforce development, with a focus on using simulation beyond education to address complex challenges in practice. Sharon has led and contributed to national and international initiatives and is widely recognised for advancing the conceptual, evidential, and practical application of simulation within healthcare systems.
