Colette Laws-Chapman
Lead Nurse for Non-Medical Simulation Programmes
Colette Laws-Chapman is the Lead Nurse for Non-Medical Simulation Programmes and Patient Safety Simulation at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. She is responsible for transformative simulation and developing nonmedical simulation programmes. Colette led one of the first all-hospital simulation education programmes in the UK.
As a Registered Nurse with an intensive care specialty background, Colette is passionate about education, training, and quality improvement. She has been working within Simulation and human factors since 2009, describing herself as a simulation specialist. Currently, she serves as the President of the Association for Simulated Practice in Healthcare (ASPiH). Colette is the first nurse to become president of ASPiH and is set to lead the association in celebrating its upcoming 15th anniversary in 2024.
