Eating disorder for adults simulation course

After completing this course we aim that those attending will:

• Develop confidence in how to interact with t and support individuals living with an eating disorder
• Improve knowledge of managing the mental health and physical health complexities of patients presenting with an eating disorder
• Develop an increased understanding of legal frameworks relevant to individuals suffering from an eating disorder
• Be aware of family and support network involvement in eating disorder management and develop an understanding of potential complexities in support network dynamics
• Be aware of difficulties for individuals with eating disorders transition from Child and Young People Services to Adult Services

We've noticed variations in course attendance, which can affect the quality of our program and lead to cancellations. If you find that you can no longer attend a course, please inform us promptly so that we can offer your spot to someone on the waiting list. In some instances, we may also notify your line manager if there's no record of your cancellation. Please be aware: To ensure our courses meet their intended objectives, we need a minimum number of participants for the course to proceed as scheduled. If bookings fall below this threshold, we may need to cancel the course.

Please be aware that this booking process is only applicable to courses commissioned by the NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB). If you are booking courses not commissioned by the NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB), this process does not apply. Information regarding commissioning will be specified in the course title.

The eligibility criteria for courses commissioned by the NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB) will be assessed before enrolment in the program. To apply for the course, please complete the eligibility form . We will review your application and confirm your seat within 3 days. If you are eligible, we will be in touch with you, providing a PIN to book the course via the Maudsley Learning website. To qualify, you must be employed in one of the NHS trusts under the NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB). Priority will be given to applicants whose roles involve frequent and/or intense contact with patients or service users affected by eating disorders.
