About the course

This is the simulation day of our comprehensive two-day course on Motivational Interviewing. The course offers an interactive learning experience, commencing with a full day of expert-led teaching followed by a dedicated second day focused on simulation exercises. These simulations encompass various scenarios, allowing participants to practically apply motivational interviewing techniques within health-related conversations surrounding complex health issues.

Tailored specifically for professionals seeking to enhance positive mental health outcomes within the Southeast London community, this course addresses knowledge and practical application gaps in Motivational Interviewing. It emphasizes effective communication techniques and motivational strategies essential for managing long-term conditions. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of Motivational Interviewing principles, its effectiveness, and the identification of co-morbid presentations. These objectives are achieved through a trainer-led facilitated workshop and a simulation day, enabling learners to apply acquired skills to real-world scenarios encountered in their professional practice.

Attendance on both days is mandatory to fulfill the course requirements and obtain certification. Please note that booking for the trainer-led facilitated workshop on day one and the simulation day on day two must be done separately. Once you have booked into day one, you will receive a password for day two. If you have not yet booked day one, please click this link to do so.
