About the course

The intersection of eating disorders and neurodiversity is increasingly recognised as an important challenge for clinicians and presents a level of complexity that may be overlooked by standard treatment models. This two-day Maudsley Masterclass is aimed at clinicians working with individuals who have eating disorders, as well as those working with neurodiverse individuals, reflecting the need for inclusive, informed approaches across both areas.

Day 1 will focus on the categories of eating disorders and neurodiversity, how to identify when these may be present, and approaches to screening. Day 2 will explore treatment models in-depth and examine effective ways to promote recovery.

This course is co-developed and co-facilitated by experts in the field and individuals with lived experience, providing an interactive and practical training experience. Learners will also receive resources to assist in implementing change in practice after completing the course.

This course is equivalent to 12 learning hours for Continuing Professional Development purposes.
