About the course

This interactive online workshop for health and social care staff focuses on improving our workplace wellbeing during Covid-19. The session targets uncertainty as a key area for us to manage when trying to improve our wellbeing and work engagement.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, working in healthcare has been challenging in many different ways. In particular there has been even more uncertainty to manage than usual, and rightly there has been an increased focus on the wellbeing of healthcare workers.

This workshop aims to further improve our approaches to healthcare worker wellbeing, focusing specifically on how we manage uncertainty individually and in teams. We'll draw on our own research and learning during Covid-19, including workplace changes, as well as contemporary evidence on healthcare worker wellbeing.

The session introduces key information and practical strategies to manage uncertainty and wellbeing at work, as well as providing opportunity to reflect on and learn from our experiences of Covid-19 so far. We begin by briefly examining the background to workplace wellbeing for healthcare workers, before understanding our experiences of uncertainty in more detail. We review strategies to manage uncertainty as individuals and teams, and provide a framework through which to implement these strategies.
