Dr Simone Reinders

Dr Simone Reinders is an Honorary Senior Research Associate with lecturer status at the Department of Psychological Medicine, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN), King's College London (KCL). She is a leader in the field of pathological dissociation, having received multiple awards from the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD) for her work in this area, including the Mid-Career Achievement Award in 2021. Dr Reinders is considered an international expert in the neurobiology of pathological dissociation, as evidenced by her invitations to deliver plenary lectures at international conferences. She established the ENIGMA Dissociation Working Group in 2019 but has since stepped down as chair.
