Dr Sulagna Chakrabarti
Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
Dr Sulagna Chakrabarti is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. She is the clinical lead of Paediatric Liaison Service, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust based at Kings College Hospital. Dr Chakrabarti has special interest in crisis work, neurodevelopmental disorders and provides specialist neuropsychiatry input to children and young people in the Children’s Epilepsy Surgery pathway. Before embarking on a career in Psychiatry Dr Chakrabarti has worked both in Paediatrics and Medicine, across a range of sub specialties, and is an advocate of parity of esteem. She trained as a psychiatrist initially at the Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi, India and subsequently at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
Dr Chakrabarti is an established trainer and teaches on a number of graduate and postgraduate programmes both for trainee psychiatrists and paediatricians. she is passionate to improve services for children and young people who present in crisis as well as with ongoing health conditions through high quality thigh-qualityworkforce development. She played a key part in designing and delivering the SIM: CAMHS ROAD SHOWS for the South Thames Paediatric Network and lead the HEE-funded CAMHS masterclass as part of CYP Mental Health Programme, Maudsley Learning.
