Eligibility and application process

Entry requirements
Interested applicants must be financially supported by their home organisation, typically through their employer or their country’s Ministry of Health. This funding is expected to cover the full cost of the fellowship, including programme fees, travel expenses, and research project funding. In addition to financial support, candidates must meet the programme’s entry requirements to be considered for acceptance, ensuring they are suitably qualified and prepared for the Fellowship experience.

The application process is competitive and aims to select individuals with strong academic credentials and relevant professional experience. Applicants must submit a completed application form, an up-to-date CV, and a personal statement that clearly outlines their motivation and goals. Supporting documents must also include references, a research proposal or project plan, and verified proof of both English language proficiency and medical qualification.

Eligibility criteria
Applicants must hold a medical degree and have completed Specialist Psychiatry Training to a level equivalent to Consultant status. They are expected to have at least three years of post-qualification experience and must have been actively practising medicine for a minimum of three of the past five years, including the most recent 12 months. Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in mental health and a commitment to improving outcomes globally, along with evidence of English language proficiency and a recognised medical qualification.
