Virtual reality
Immersive mental health simulation training utilising ultra-high-definition, 360-degree videos
Maudsley Simulation is currently in the process of developing ultra-high-definition, immersive, 360-degree videos aimed at providing learners with a convenient way to access our informative content anytime and anywhere. With over five years of experience delivering top-notch mental health simulation training to a broad spectrum of professionals in health and social care, we are now venturing into technologically innovative programs to make simulation-based education more accessible.
In collaboration with VIRTI, an online educational platform, these courses will be accessible through any computer, tablet, or smartphone, enabling learners to immerse themselves virtually in scenarios without the need for physical presence. Using a virtual reality (VR) headset, individuals can experience being right during the action as it unfolds. Our goal is to expand our offerings to include a diverse range of programs in VR, starting with a pilot course focused on aggression management and de-escalation.
