About the symposium

This one day symposium will share the latest clinical and research developments in the management of affective disorders, focusing on major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder. Delivered by experts from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at Kings College London, it is designed for mental health professionals working with people affected by mood disorders.

The programme will explore treatment resistant depression, suicide risk, and innovative therapies such as non invasive brain stimulation, ketamine, and psychedelic treatments. It will also address mood disorders and addiction, advances in bipolar disorder care, and neurocognitive models that support more personalised approaches.
