About the course
Mental health in the workplace: the workplace is increasingly seen as an important place in which to focus in the delivery of better training on mental health. Sickness absence as a result of poor mental health is a growing issue and it already represents the biggest single reason for a delayed return to work. This overview course aims to up skill any managerial workforce in this area.
What you will learn from taking this course:
- A basic understanding of a range of mental health disorders including anxiety, depression and enduring disorders such as OCD and bipolar affective disorder.
- Further knowledge of personality disorders and how these interact with the mental health disorders above
- Increased knowledge of the array of mental health help your employees can get access to, both inside and outside the NHS.
- Enhanced confidence is being able to have better conversations about mental health issues with your teams and individuals within them who may be struggling.
