Using simulation-based training to improve health conversations by developing motivational interviewing in clinical support workers” is an in-practice report that discusses the preliminary findings of a simulation course designed to improve the awareness and skills of clinical support workers in motivational interviewing. Participants discussed improvements which remained throughout a 2-month follow up period in communication techniques, listening skills, and confidence to start conversations.
