London-wide CYP mental health programme
Programme description
With support from Chief Executives of London’s Trusts and commission from Health Education England, Maudsley Learning have developed a pan-London training programme aiming to enhance mental health awareness and skills of paediatric staff in secondary care services. The programme, which will be at no cost to London NHS Trusts, will be delivered to clinical and non-clinical staff in paediatric settings.
The training programme offers two half-day modules: a Maudsley masterclass and Maudsley simulation course focusing on mental health issues in CYP with comorbid physical illnesses, including acute and long-term management of mental health. In addition, a Train-the-trainer module is available for leaders who wish to promote better management of mental health needs through staff development in their teams.

Eligibility
This multi-professional course is aimed at paediatric trainees, GP trainees and Foundation Year doctors undertaking a paediatric placement, paediatric consultants, paediatric nurses and health care assistants, paediatric allied health professionals or any A&E staff involved in the care of Children and Young People. Those booking onto the programmes must belong to a NHS trust in London.
